My brother(84) is doing this to a degree that makes life impossible at some moments–like refusing to buy something in a store “because I was here yesterday and I already bought that”. And causing a huge fuss with people about the TV repeating itself. Is there anything to be done about this condition?

I couldn’t understand some parts of this article déjà vu story : Atavistic, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.

Diagnosing ‘mental disorders’ is NOT an exact science. That’s what makes it dangerous sometimes. I worked with ‘autistic’ kids in a hospital setting, and the ‘Psychiatrist’ had intense psychotropic ordered for ‘acting out behaviors.’ WBR LeoP

your artucle completely describes every day with my 93 year old mother and she has done all of those deja vecu things for atleast 10 years, including having trasvelled to all the places where her daughters have been (where she has never been)
