I’m happy to announce the impending launch of a side project I’ve been working on (with writer Doug McGray, multi-talented-creative gurus Derek Fagerstrom and Lauren Smith, and designer Maili Holiman):

Pop-Up Magazine

One night only! If you are in the Bay area on April 22, come check out an evening of interviews, documentary film, facts, humor, photography, stories, and radio. Never before seen/heard/published work from award-winning filmmakers, photographers, and contributors to The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, Harpers, The Tate Modern, MoMA, Wired, This American Life, and many others. It’ll be like…a magazine. But live.

It’s taking place at the fantastic Brava Theatre, with drinks before and after in the lobby. Doors and bar open at 7, the magazine starts at 7:30. Tickets can be had here (and they are going pretty fast, it’s approaching 75% sold out).

We’ve still got the full lineup under wraps, but you can expect the likes of writer Michael Pollan, documentarian Alex Gibney, photographer Todd Hido, writer Peggy Orenstein, and much more…
